When David Keane saw the beautiful young girl look at him and wiggle her pinkie, he had no idea this was the beginning of a turbulent love affair that would affect the rest of his life. Kathy is torn between her love of David and her love and fear of Virgil, who pledges to skewer David if he tries to take Kathy away. David's chance of survival is minimal. Is the risk worth it? Perhaps, Kathy won't leave. Last Leaf From A Wishing Tree is a beautifully-written novel. The author weaves character and context with image and metaphor that makes his prose almost lyrical. No one does that better.

This books shows you can if only for a short period of time just too remember your own home town and the first love of your life. I agree with the newspaper review that said this was the most beautifully written and disturbing novel of the year.
I knew the author of this book many years ago, and after reading Last Leaf From a Wishing Tree, I have concluded that he has done a disservice to the literary world. This so-called novel is filled with poor grammar and more misspellings than pages in the book. There is no plot and no point to any of the chapters therein. The author based this novel on people he actually knew in the Town of Warren, but his representation of these people is totally inaccurate and insulting. Reading this book was a waste of my time.
Last Leaf From A Wishing Tree kept my interest high at all times, mainly because of the suspense that author Linc Dante created and maintained right to the end. He conveyed the feeling that HE was David Keane, and that Kathy McCarthy was the love of HIS life. Did he tell us where his love for a real life 'Kathy' had taken him? David's love for Kathy was so strong that he maintained it through great adversity with a strength that most men could never have found. I suspect that the author could not have expressed the depth and strength of David's love for Kathy and the hurt that it brought to him without having experienced it. I'm hopeful that Linc Dante will deliver another novel soon!
This novel is bordering on pornography, rather than being a well written novel. I live in Warren, Massachusetts and knew the author when he lived on South Street with his parents. The description of the Town of Warren and its location are accurate, along with, its Main Street and Comins Pond locations. The author of a "novel" should be creative enough to use fictional names of his locales and characters. It is obvious no one proof read this book, as it is full of grammatical and spelling errors. The only part of the book that was well written was the title. POORLY WRITTEN STORY NOT WORTH READING!!!!
